My name is Aldona Olchanowska. I am a professional counsellor and therapist with over 25 years experience of providing short- and long-term therapy to individuals, couples and families. I have worked as a counsellor in the USA and Poland at various treatment centres, also in educational settings and private practice. I worked with people with a wide range of life issues, including HIV/AIDS, homelessness, adoption, selective mutism, substance abuse, codependency, depression, eating disorders and other issues. My formal academic training took five years in Warsaw University Poland (1987, MS in Special Education) and three years in USA North Dakota State University (1997, M.Ed. in Counselling and Guidance, accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Programs - CACREP) Also, for one year I studied Clinical Social Work at University of Denver, USA (1992).  I had clinical practice in the university psychiatric hospital and several trainings in different psychotherapeutic schools. I use an integrative approach, with different modalities including Person Centered and Humanistic, in order to work holistic way. I work with adults. 
 
I am bilingual, working in both English and Polish.
